She landed a position at London's radio station Kiss FM and within month's she was offered a full time position that lead to opportunities at Arista Records, MTV and London's Channel 4 T4.

Born in Leytonstone, England in May 1977, June Sarpong was destined for greatness. After spending 18 months in a hospital at age 15 because she was hit by a car, June got back on her feet and began the road to recovery. Born Ghanaian, her very strict African family did not want her to leave school behind to began a career in media. She landed a position at London’s radio station Kiss FM and because June did a good job, she was offered a full time position within months of starting. This led to opportunities for June that included a position at Arista Records where she looked after artist like P. Diddy and Whitney Houston. After Arista came MTV were she became host on programs like Dance Floor Chart, Weekend Edition, Select and Planet Pop. Also she presented other series such as Your Face or Mine?, a game show co-hosted with Jimmy Carr for C4, Dirty Laundry which was originally June’s idea and Playing it Straight which was filmed in Mexico. She also appeared in a BBC Television program, Question Time. In 1999 June received a regular role as front woman and celebrity interviewer for London’s Channel 4 T4. London’s T4 has become one of Channel 4’s most successful and long lasting programs. Jume’s style and the atmosphere of the show, set the stage for the biggest guest in the entertainment industry to appear. Sir Elton John, George Clooney, Halle Berry, Britney Spears, Will Smith, and Nicole Kidman has all been guest on June’s show. Also she has interviewed and introduced HRH Prince of Wales, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Nelson Mandela and Gordon Brown. June made history when she interviewed British Prime Minister Tony Blair for a T4 special. When she was set to interview Robert Deniro, she was told he was in a bad mood. June went ahead with the interview and truned everything around with a simple introduction that changed Deniro’s mood. She stepped in the fashion world and played host at major shows such as Georgio Armani’s One Night Only, Channel 4’s Slave for Fashion and ITV’s runway hit “Wags Boutique”. June Sarpong is also the ambassador for the Prince Trust’s campaign’s for the Make Poverty History in which she visited Ghana in April 2005 to make a film for it. She hosted a event for the organization in London’s Trafalgar Square that featured guests Nelson Mandela and Bob Geldof. Her 10 year career has made her one of the most recognizable faces in British television as well as UK’s talented presenters. Now she owns her own company called Lipgloss Productions and with that infectious laugh, June Sapong is a media phenomenon.
