I am a 23 YO artist, born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, raised in Maryland and I recently relocated to New York. I came to New York because I was told that this is where I belong. I’ve only lived here for about two months but I see why one would assume that this is where someone like me belongs. It’s the energy and the creativity that is within these City walls that makes me believe that this place is for me. Art is all I think about. I studied Graphic Design at Towson University and in high school all I did was paint. These days I find myself heavily immersed in photography. This city is fantastic for meeting models and other people to collaborate with on photographic projects. The photos that you see on this site is a showcase of my recent work with a few earlier ones. A lot of them are fashion photography and a few are lifestyle.
One of my favorite quotes is from Emil’ Zola and it goes “I am an artist, I am here to live out loud”. My other favorite quote is from the movie American Beauty and it reads “Sometimes there is so much beauty in the world, I feel like I can’t take it”. These two quotes have inspired me to create Open Lab magazine. Open Lab magazine is a visual feast, a fruit that will fill you up and keep you wanting more. Open Lab will take you on a beautiful photographic expedition and drop you off on a planet yet to be discovered. I want people to feel like they have entered the outer limits when looking at the magazine. Open Lab magazine will be avant garde in every sense of the word. I am so excited for people to see it!

Hello my name is Malcolm and I’ve known Caravaggio Araki for about a month now and every time I look at a piece of his artwork I’m deeply inspired. I love the simple but yet complex touches he adds to each photo that catches the eye of the viewer.
I really think this his artwork is a complete reflection of his personality. His actions may seem simple to the eye but inside is this insightful, talented human being.
I had a pleasure of working with him, he gave good directions and made sure I felt comfortable shooting for my first time. I want to wish him the best of look and I’m looking forward for him to keep inspiring the world with his amazing artwork.

Hi my name is Eve and I am a model. I have worked with Caravaggio Araki numerous times and I must say that he is an extremely talented photographer and a visualist. I love working with him because I know that he is bringing his best each and everytime and that I will have amazing photos for my profolio. I have never seen someone so passionate and innovated about there work. he is truly an inspiration to me and I know that he will be very successful.
